This study is of significant importance as it underscores the relevance of digital
transformation (Information and Communication Technology, digital technology,
financial technology, organizational and supervisory technology, cybersecurity) in the
banks sector. The study's statistical analysis, which encompasses 26 banks operating
in Algeria and Kuwait, reveals that these banks are at different stages of digitalization
and digital transformation. They are actively developing strategies to enhance their
competitiveness and customer satisfaction. However, this journey is not without its
challenges. Regulatory limitations, external environmental resistance, and internal
organizational barriers pose significant hurdles. The study also highlights the need to
effectively leverage the internal organizational environment and seize appropriate
opportunities amidst intensified competition and the emergence of other competing
frameworks.
Several conclusions were drawn from the study, including the banks' efforts in
both countries to adopt digital transformation technologies, leading in recent five
years to developed Bank activity. Furthermore, digital transformation had a
statistically significant impact on banks activity at a significance level of 0.05.
Recommendations included ensuring sufficient budgetary allocations for digital
transformation in banks, supporting staff with adequate training, and emphasizing the
crucial role of enhancing customer satisfaction by keeping up with digital
environment developments, especially regarding legal facilitations

This thesis aims to examine the effectiveness of employing financial analysis tools
and feasibility studies in rationalizing financing and investment decisions within
economic enterprises, amidst increasing financial complexities and growing risks
associated with the modern economic environment. To address the various aspects of
the subject, a descriptive-analytical approach was adopted by analyzing theoretical
concepts related to financial analysis, feasibility studies, and financing and
investment decisions. Additionally, the case study method was applied to two
production companies (ECDE and ENOF) to measure the actual impact of employing
these tools in practice.
The study reached a fundamental conclusion that regular and integrated reliance
on financial analysis tools and feasibility studies contributes significantly to the
rationalization of financing and investment decisions. This is achieved by improving
the accuracy of financial estimates, enhancing the ability to evaluate and select among
financing and investment alternatives, and reducing the degree of uncertainty and
risk. Furthermore, the results indicated that the poor efficiency of decisions in some
enterprises is mainly due to the superficial or incomplete use of these tools, or reliance
on traditional criteria in decision-making without basing it on in-depth financial
analysis.

This study aims to measure the impact of financial liberalization policy on the
economic diversification index in Algeria, the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom
of Saudi Arabia during the period (2000-2022) using descriptive and inferential statistics
tools and economic measurement methods, represented by dynamic panel models
(ARDL) based on EVIEWS13 STATA15 software. The results of estimating the
ensemble mean (PMG) showed a significant and negative impact of the financial
liberalization policy index on the economic diversification index, in addition to a
positive and significant impact of foreign direct investment on the economic
diversification index in the long run

Predictive approaches to the impact of environmental conditions on the durability of clayey soils stabilized with mineral additives.

Predictive approaches to the impact of environmental conditions on the durability of clayey soils stabilized with mineral additives.
TOUALBIA, YOUSSOUF
This doctoral thesis addresses a critical issue in geotechnical engineering: the impact of
environmental conditions, particularly freeze–thaw cycles, on the effectiveness and long-term
durability of stabilized clayey soils treated with mineral additives such as lime and fly ash.
Numerous published experimental studies have demonstrated an initial improvement in
unconfined compressive strength (UCS) following stabilization, but also a progressive
deterioration of mechanical performance under repeated freeze–thaw exposure. However,
experimental assessment remains challenging, due to the difficulty in realistically reproducing
climatic conditions, precisely controlling curing parameters, and managing result variability.
These limitations justify the adoption of predictive modeling approaches.
In this context, two modeling approaches: a statistical regression and an ANN, were
developed using literature-based experimental databases for soils stabilized with lime and fly
ash. These models effectively simulate the evolution of UCS in stabilized soils subjected to
environmental cycles. Parametric studies were also conducted to capture the influence of
several key factors, such as the number of freeze–thaw cycles, water content, additive content,
and curing duration. Results show that ANN models offer superior predictive performance
and better capture of nonlinear relationships between input variables and soil strength
response.
By integrating diverse experimental data and leveraging the power of artificial intelligence,
this work contributes to a better understanding of the long-term behavior of stabilized soils
under harsh climatic conditions and provides reliable tools to support resilient geotechnical
design in environmentally sensitive regions.
Keywords: stabilized clayey soils; freeze–thaw cycles; mineral additives; statistical model;
artificial neural network (ANN); unconfined compressive strength (UCS)
