Résumé:
This study aims to identify “patterns of attachment and the nature of mentalization among
mothers of children with autism disorder” among a sample of eight (8) cases of mothers of
children with autism disorder. The importance of the study is evident in bridging the
knowledge gap in the field of scientific research, especially those related to local and Arab
research. We particularly mention the issues of attachment and mentalization among mothers
of autistic children. To address this issue, we used the clinical approach as it is the appropriate
approach for this type of research, relying on scientific research tools (clinical interview,
observation, Rorschach test, adult attachment scale). The results of the study also concluded
that there is an avoidant attachment style in most cases, while it indicated The results of the
study are that most cases have bad mentalization.
